Meet the Go2Girl Studio Team

Behind every pattern and project is a small, dedicated crew working out of our studio..."the clawed-back guest room".

The Designer & Pattern Maker

(Picture Me)

I learned to sew before the first grade on an old black-head treadle Singer—which my mom electrified. I could see the needle and hit the pedal—eventually graduating to a Featherweight, making my own clothes and competing in state competitions. Life took me down other paths, but returning to the needle a few years ago brought an instant, grounding sense of clarity and a new journey. Today, I combine decades of sewing muscle memory with modern precision design to create clear, detailed pattern booklets that share the joy of sewing—removing the guesswork and frustration so you can spend more time in the sweet spot of pure, uninterrupted stitching. It all boils down to creative sewing, simplified!

The Heavy Lifter & Quilt Anchor

(Picture Johnnie holding up the heavy quilt in the backyard)

Johnnie | Chief Director of Field Operations

No large quilt makes it to the final photo shoot without Johnnie. He assists with spray basting, holds massive quilts flat against sudden wind gusts, and patiently endures full retakes whenever the shadows shift—all without complaining. When asked about his rates, he just laughs and says, "Hefner and I work for belly rubs!"

The Morale Officer & Part-time Security

(Picture Hefner snoring on one of the blue loveseats)

Hefner | Head of Nap Quality Control

As an elderly gentleman, Hefner demands variety. He claims both of the blue loveseats in the studio so he can rotate spots throughout the workday. His main contribution to the pattern-making process is providing a not so soothing soundtrack of rhythmic snoring while I untangle thread nests, replace broken needles, and play high-stakes bobbin chicken.
